Ethan was the founder and inaugural National President of the Union of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students (UATSIS), after which he worked as Seed's Communications manager. Ethan is from the Warumungu nation that surrounds Tennant Creek, and within his nation he belongs to the Patta clan and his skin is Jappaljarri.
Ethan completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Philosophy at the University of Melbourne, focussing on political philosophy, as well as the intersection of ethics and public policy. Ethan’s interests include education and social justice.
