Edie is a proud Wiradjuri and Noongar activist, campaigner and trade unionist – becoming an organiser after working as a delegate in youth care work. She has been involved in a range of fights and campaigns – from State and Federal election campaigns, connecting the Djab Warrung Heritage Protection Embassy with the trade union movement, and more recently working with Traditional Owners to protect and preserve culture and country.
Edie worked as an organiser across the trade union, climate, and land rights movements - all focussed on community led work that builds the power, skills and capacity of mob to self-determine, protect and defend country, and enact change through collective action. Edie is passionate about building the strength, skills and capacity of mob to challenge, contest and win for power our communities to realise self-determination and justice.
